The Inter-Venue Challenge 4s is the latest series of team events on the PTT calendar, and replaces the IVC 8s which was run as a trial from November 2017 to February 2018.
Each venue fields its best 4 available players in home-and-away challenges. A 8-player competition is played, with two pools of four containing two players from each team followed by semi-finals for the top two from each pool, a fifth place playoff for the two third-placed players in each pool, a seventh place playoff for the two last-placed players, a third place playoff and a final. At the end of the night, the scores of the top 3 players from each venue are added up to give a total venue score. The strength of the turnout determines the total points available for the tournament.
The results are added to a “rolling ranking” system, whereby a venue’s best ten scores over the past year counts towards their ranking.

All matches are scheduled for a 19:00 start. More than 15 minutes latecomers forfeit their first match. Arrangements can be made to accommodate players with at least 3 hours advance notice.
